John has a JD from Pace University, an MBA (Finance) from Fordham University, and a BA from the University of Notre Dame. He is a licensed attorney in both New York and Connecticut, and a fully licensed insurance broker and a Registered Representative of SII Investments, Inc. Before founding Davenport and Associates in 1997, John served as a corporate officer for TIAA-CREF, an associate attorney for Vaccaro & Prisco, and Vice President for Merrill Lynch. He is a member of the New York and Connecticut State Bar Associations, and a Fellow of the Life Office Management Association. ANNE BENSEL, Senior Financial Advisor, Vice President Anne manages the complexities of a diverse portfolio with the calm focus that comes from highly qualified expertise. She has a B.S. in Economics from Lehigh University and has worked in the financial industry as an advisor for over 18 years. Anne holds NASD Registration Series 7, 63, 65, and 24, and is a registered representative of SII Investments. She is also a licensed insurance broker.  Before joining Davenport & Associates, Anne worked as a financial consultant for several investment management companies including Dreyfus Service Corporation.
